Today I read all morning while everyone else hung out around the resort.  Later on we went and played mini golf at an amazing place. They had all kinds of different plants from all over the world. These included bamboo, sugar cane, and many others. Afterwards, my dad and us kids had dinner at Bubba Burgers. Everyone else had dinner at Dolphins. Here’s some trivia………… What are 3 locally grown foods in Hawaii.

Me and my grandma opened a coconut. It took 2 hours because you half to cut open the extremely hard shell.  My grandma hopes we don’t bring home any more coconuts.  Why do so many stray cats live in Hawaii?

Yesterday’s trivia answer:  Hanakapiai FallsThe falls are often said to be 1000 feet tall, however in reality it appears to be about half that. There are three more waterfalls about half a mile upstream which likely have been grouped together as part of this waterfall (though they shouldn't be).

  1. Hi All--the hike sounds great! And, Joslin, the water that your dad jumped in probably wasn't all that cold--he's just a bit soft : >
And, did you like the taste of the coconut?
Also, feel free to take all the stray cats that you can back to CO in your suitcase--I'm sure your folks won't mind.
Oh, and your trivia question...sugar cane, coconuts, and kiwi.

  2. Actually my dad got in the water at the waterfall. My mom was the one that didn't. I liked the taste of the coconut. Look for a box with holes in it. I am mailing you a stray cat. Do you want black or striped? You have the correct answers to the trivia.
    Love,
    Joslin
